Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 29, 2026

InMarketSolution (“IMS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to responsible, transparent use of personal information.

IMS provides performance-based automotive marketing, digital advertising, direct mail, shopper intelligence, personalized marketing experiences, analytics, reputation solutions, and AI-powered conversion technology, including Maestro™ and related products and services.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you:

  • Visit an IMS website or digital property;
  • Interact with an IMS-powered campaign, landing page, Personalized URL (“PURL”), Conversion Portal, form, advertisement, email, text message, QR code, or other digital experience;
  • Interact with Maestro™ or another IMS technology deployed for a dealership, dealer group, manufacturer, or other client;
  • Communicate with IMS; or
  • Otherwise interact with services where this Privacy Policy is displayed or referenced.

This Policy also explains the privacy choices and rights that may be available to you.

1. Our Role

Depending on the service and interaction, IMS may process personal information in different capacities.

Information IMS Collects for Its Own Business

When you visit the IMS corporate website, request information, schedule a consultation, communicate directly with IMS, or otherwise interact with IMS as a business, IMS generally determines how and why that personal information is processed.

Information We Process for Dealerships and Other Clients

Many IMS and Maestro™ services are provided on behalf of automotive dealerships, dealer groups, manufacturers, agencies, or other business clients.

In those situations, the dealership or other client may determine the purposes for which personal information is collected and used, while IMS processes the information to provide the requested marketing, analytics, technology, conversion, attribution, or related services.

If you have a question about information submitted directly to a dealership, the dealership’s privacy policy may also apply.

Information We Collect

2. Information You Provide to Us

We may collect information you voluntarily provide, including:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Mailing address
  • ZIP code
  • Dealership or company name
  • Job title or business information
  • Preferred dealership or location
  • Vehicle interests
  • Vehicle make, model, trim, or inventory preferences
  • Trade-in vehicle information
  • Appointment preferences
  • Questions submitted through AI, chat, forms, or other communication tools
  • Marketing and communication preferences
  • Information provided when requesting an offer, valuation, appointment, consultation, or other service

The exact information collected depends on the IMS product, campaign, dealership, and experience with which you interact.

3. Automotive Shopping and Engagement Information

IMS technology is designed to help dealerships understand and improve the automotive shopping journey.

Depending on the services being used, we may collect or process information such as:

  • Vehicles viewed

  • Payment-related shopping preferences
  • Repeat visits
  • Pages viewed
  • Links or buttons selected
  • Appointment activity
  • Campaign engagement
  • Referral source
  • Conversion activity
  • Communications with AI-powered tools
  • Time, date, duration, and frequency of interactions

We may use this activity to understand shopping intent, personalize experiences, measure marketing performance, improve campaigns, and help dealerships identify opportunities to engage interested shoppers.

4. Information Collected Automatically

When you interact with our websites, Maestro™ experiences, Conversion Portals, campaigns, advertisements, or other digital services, certain technical information may be collected automatically.

This may include:

  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Device type
  • Operating system
  • Device or browser identifiers
  • Approximate geographic location derived from an IP address
  • Referring website or campaign
  • Pages and content viewed
  • Date and time of visits
  • Session information
  • Advertising and campaign identifiers
  • Cookie identifiers
  • Interaction and conversion data

We may use cookies, pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, server-side technologies, and similar technologies to collect this information.

Shopper Intelligence

5. Shopper Identification and First-Party Attribution

Maestro™ and related IMS technologies may help participating dealerships better understand activity occurring across their digital experiences.

Depending on the dealership’s configuration and the information lawfully available to IMS, these technologies may associate website or campaign activity with a shopper, household, customer record, or other identifier.

This may include analyzing:

  • Website visits
  • Vehicle interest
  • Repeat visits
  • Campaign responses
  • PURL activity
  • Advertising interactions
  • Prior dealership interactions
  • Customer or prospect information provided by a dealership
  • Other permitted marketing or consumer information

These capabilities are designed to help dealerships understand shopper behavior, improve attribution, personalize marketing, and determine when a customer may be interested in engaging with the dealership.

IMS does not represent that every anonymous website visitor can or will be identified.

6. Personalized URLs and Campaign Experiences

Some IMS marketing programs use Personalized URLs, QR codes, unique campaign identifiers, landing pages, or Maestro™ Conversion Portals.

When you interact with one of these experiences, IMS may recognize that the interaction relates to a particular marketing campaign, household, customer, prospect, or campaign identifier.

We may use this information to:

  • Present relevant vehicles or offers;
  • Personalize a shopping experience;
  • Measure campaign response;
  • Connect online engagement with an advertising campaign;
  • Help a dealership follow up with interested shoppers; and
  • Evaluate campaign and conversion performance.

Performance Marketing

7. Campaign Data and Sales Verification

IMS provides performance-based automotive marketing programs in which campaign performance may be measured against verified vehicle sales.

To provide these services, IMS may receive or process information from dealerships and their technology providers, including customer, prospect, campaign, and transaction-related information.

For example, IMS may create a campaign manifest identifying consumers or households included in a campaign. Following a campaign, IMS may securely compare campaign information against dealership sales information to determine whether a targeted consumer or household purchased a vehicle.

Information used for these purposes may include:

  • Consumer or household identifiers
  • Contact information
  • Campaign participation
  • Vehicle information
  • Transaction or purchase information
  • Dealership information
  • Campaign response information
  • Matching or attribution identifiers

We use this information to provide attribution, reporting, campaign measurement, sales verification, billing, analytics, fraud prevention, and related services.

Sources of Information

8. Where Information Comes From

We may collect personal information from several sources, including:

Directly From You

For example, when you submit a form, request an appointment, enter trade information, interact with an AI assistant, or communicate with us.

Dealerships and Dealer Groups

Dealership clients may provide customer, prospect, inventory, transaction, CRM, DMS, campaign, or other information necessary for IMS to perform services.

Automotive Manufacturers and Partners

We may receive information through authorized manufacturer programs, agencies, technology providers, and other automotive industry partners.

Data and Marketing Providers

IMS may work with data providers and marketing partners that provide audience, household, vehicle ownership, market, demographic, consumer, or other permitted information used for audience selection and campaign delivery.

Advertising and Media Platforms

We may receive campaign, audience, engagement, and conversion information from digital advertising, social media, search, display, email, and other marketing platforms.

Automatically Through Technology

Information may be collected through websites, cookies, pixels, Conversion Portals, campaign links, QR codes, server logs, and related technologies.

Artificial Intelligence

10. AI-Powered Experiences

Maestro™ and certain IMS products use artificial intelligence and automated technologies to improve automotive shopping and customer engagement.

These technologies may use information about a shopper’s questions, vehicle interests, interactions, and shopping activity to:

  • Answer automotive shopping questions;

  • Help shoppers navigate inventory and offers;
  • Personalize digital experiences;
  • Identify potential shopping intent;
  • Assist dealerships in prioritizing customer engagement; and
  • Improve conversion experiences.

AI-generated responses may not always be complete or accurate and should not be considered a substitute for final information provided directly by a dealership regarding vehicle availability, pricing, financing, warranties, or transaction terms.

Unless otherwise disclosed, IMS does not use its consumer-facing AI tools to independently make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects regarding a consumer, such as final decisions concerning credit approval, employment, insurance, or eligibility for government benefits.

Advertising and Personalization

11. Targeted Advertising

IMS may use information collected through campaigns, websites, and digital technologies to deliver or measure advertising that may be more relevant to a consumer’s interests.

We may work with advertising platforms, media companies, analytics providers, and other marketing technology providers for activities such as:

  • Audience creation
  • Advertising delivery
  • Retargeting
  • Campaign measurement
  • Attribution
  • Conversion tracking
  • Frequency management
  • Marketing analytics

Certain privacy laws may define some disclosures made in connection with targeted advertising as a “sale,” “sharing,” or use of personal information for “targeted advertising,” even when no money is exchanged for the information.

Where required by applicable law, consumers may opt out of these activities as described in the Your Privacy Choices section below.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

12. Cookies, Pixels, and Similar Technologies

IMS and its service providers may use:

  • Cookies
  • Tracking pixels
  • Web beacons
  • Tags
  • SDKs
  • Local storage
  • Server-side tracking
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Similar technologies

These technologies help us operate our services, remember preferences, understand website activity, measure campaign performance, prevent fraud, personalize experiences, and deliver or measure advertising.

Where required, you can manage certain non-essential technologies through our website’s cookie or privacy preference tools.

Changing your browser settings may also allow you to block or delete certain cookies. Doing so may affect the functionality of some IMS or Maestro™ experiences.

How We Disclose Information

13. Parties With Whom Information May Be Disclosed

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients when reasonably necessary to provide our services.

Dealerships and Dealer Groups

Information generated through a dealership’s campaign or Maestro™ experience may be provided to the applicable dealership or dealer group so it can respond to shopper activity, provide requested services, and manage customer relationships.

Automotive Manufacturers and Authorized Program Partners

Information may be processed or disclosed as necessary to administer authorized automotive marketing programs.

Technology and Service Providers

We use vendors that help provide hosting, cloud infrastructure, analytics, communications, data processing, security, campaign production, mailing, advertising, AI, and other business services.

CRM, DMS, and Automotive Technology Providers

IMS may integrate with dealership customer relationship management systems, dealer management systems, inventory systems, scheduling platforms, and other dealership technologies.

We may work with advertising, search, social media, email, display, audience, and media platforms to deliver, personalize, and measure campaigns.

Data and Analytics Partners

We may use permitted data, identity, attribution, measurement, and analytics providers to support targeting, measurement, personalization, and campaign performance.

Legal and Compliance Purposes

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, regulation, subpoena, court order, governmental request, or legal process, or to protect rights, safety, property, or security.

Business Transactions

Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, subject to applicable law.

Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

14. Do We Sell Personal Information?

IMS does not sell personal information for cash in the traditional meaning of the word “sell.”

However, some privacy laws define “sale” or “sharing” broadly enough to include certain disclosures involving advertising technology, audience services, data providers, or other marketing partners.

As a result, some IMS activities may be considered a sale, sharing of personal information, or processing for targeted advertising under applicable state privacy laws.

Where applicable, you may opt out of these activities through our Your Privacy Choices link or by submitting a privacy request.

17. Global Privacy Control

Where required by applicable law, IMS recognizes qualifying browser-based universal opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control (“GPC”), as requests to opt out of applicable sale, sharing, or targeted advertising activities.

Because these signals generally operate at the browser or device level, you may need to enable the preference separately for each browser or device you use.

If we can reasonably associate a recognized preference signal with a known consumer profile, we may apply the preference more broadly when required by applicable law.

To submit a privacy request, you may contact us through one of the following methods:

Online: [INSERT PRIVACY REQUEST FORM URL]

If IMS maintains information solely on behalf of a dealership or other client, we may direct your request to the applicable business or assist that business in responding.

Communications

19. Email, Telephone, and Text Communications

If you provide contact information through an IMS or dealership experience, you may receive communications consistent with the request you made, permissions you provided, dealership practices, and applicable law.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in the message.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the IMS product involved, our contractual obligations to a client, and applicable legal requirements.

21. Information Security

IMS uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

These safeguards may include access controls, encryption, monitoring, secure data transmission, vendor controls, authentication procedures, and other security practices appropriate to the nature of the information being processed.

No internet transmission or information storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Additional Information

22. Children’s Privacy

IMS products and services are intended for adults and automotive consumers and are not directed to children.

24. Changes to This Privacy Policy

IMS may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our technology, products, business practices, or legal requirements.

When we make changes, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page. If required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice regarding material changes.
